Place Value Worksheets | Place Value Worksheets for Practice

Counting is a common thing in our every day routine. Some of you may be counting the days until school begins, some of you may be counting the days until your birthday or the number of days until your favorite holiday. Regardless of what you are counting, it is important to know the value of the numbers in your answer. For example, my birthday is in 76 days. Remember that the number 7 is in the 10s place, so if we were to consider the number seven alone it would represent 70. Likewise, the number 6 is in the 1s place so it simply represents the number 6.

Try using some of the following worksheets to refresh your memory about the place values of numbers in the 1s, 10s, 100s, 1,000s, 10,000, 100,000s and 1,000,000s places. We will have some activities during the first days of school to learn about why it is so important to place numbers in the right places, and how rearranging the numbers in any way will give us a different answer.
