Today we are going to write about our favorite heroes and heroines.  Before we dive in to talking about our personal favorites, let us take a look at some works of art that may seen to stand still in one place, but actually show us a lot of action and detail.

1. To the left you can see some familiar heroes and heroines. However, there are many more ways that we can show actions, adventure, bravery and heroism.

Click here to visit the National Gallery of Art and view an action packed painting.  As you view the painting, point your cursor to various areas and figures.  You will see a white circle appear and details of the painting will appear below.  These are important details that will help you understand the meaning of the painting and the message the painter.
