Erosion and Weathering

Which one of these rock formations is most appealing to you? Have you seen similar formations in nature? Have you ever wondered how these formations were created? Can you believe that these rock formations are all natural?

Let's take a look at a cool website that will give photos and explanations about how wind, water and heat work at making these formations in the surface of the earth.

  1. The weathering and erosin in the pictures makes the rocks look like different animals. My favorite picture is the second one. I like this one the best because it looks like an elephant.

  2. I see one rock that look's like a turtle. One look's like a plane also. This rocks used to be under water hundreds and thousands of years ago.I think it's amazing. Both rocks were formed by erosion.

  5. I like the rocks. I think the first picture looks like a speed boat. The second one looks like a elephant walking in the water. The third one looks like nothing but it has hooves. The last one looks like a penguin gliding on ice.
The process of erosion makes althese things possible.
