1. Animal Classifications
Click on this following link to play an interactive game that explains animal classifications. When you play the game follow these instructions for identifying similarities in each classification.
The game will show you various animals, insects, birds or reptiles. First, you much choose which category it belongs in. Second, a small menu will pop up to tell you if you have made the right choice. In your science journals, write down the name of each mammal, insect, reptile or bird that you identify, and label what characteristics make it a member of that category. In other words, what is a specific feature that makes something a part of the insect family, or something a mammal. One example might be that a beetle is part of the insect family because it has a hard exterior shell, or a rhinoceros is part of the mammal family because it has lungs to breathe. Make the appropriate notes for Mr. Frisch to check your work.
2. What do you see in this picture? Let your imagination run wild. Credit will be given for complete sentences and a well organized paragraph. Perhaps you can write a story about what you see or how you would feel if you were actually a part of this scene.
I relly liked the game.My favorite amphibian was the frog.He is a amphibian beacuse he has webed feet.My favorite bird is the volture,he looked mean!He is a bird beacuse he has wings and is worm blooded.I think animals are so interesting.

Some of my favorite animals were the grass hoper,the baboon,tiger,lion,and many more. Here are some characteristics of my animals.
The baboon is an mammal because it has fur it has 2 feet it feads its own baby. Anther one of my animals is it dosin't have a lot of fur it runs cind of fast.
Some of the animals that where my favorite are the lions , deer and snakes. The lion is a mammal becuase it has a spine. The deer is a mammal because it gives birth to live young. The snake is a reptile because it has dry skin.

Some of my favorite animals in the game were the Ostrich, Moose ,Grasshopper and Dragonflies. The ostrich is a bird the moose is a mammal the grasshopper is a insect and the dragonflie is a insect. The ostrich is a bird because it is warm-blooded like other birds. The moose is a mammal because it is warm-blooded.

Some of my favorite animals in the game were the cheetaha,dragonfly,zebra,turtle,ladybug,duck and the chipmunk. I love this animals beacuse they are different.

Some of my favorite animals in the game were the buterfly, lion, dragonfly, green lizard, sqirrel, and the frog. Here are some characteristics of my animals, the butter fly has an exoskello like all the insects, the lion has the same fur like other mammals, the dragon flies have four wings like other insects, the green lizard are invertabrates like other insects, the swirrels have ears that stick out like ther mammals, and the frogs have webbed feet like other amphibians.

Some of my favorite animals in the game were the lions, butterflies, chipmunnks, elephants, and the turtles. Here are some characteristics about the animals. Lions have spines like other mammals. Butterflies are cold blooded like other insects. Chipmunks nurse their young with milk like other mammals. Elephants have lungs and need air to breathe. Turtles are cold blooded like other reptiles.
