English Irregular Verbs

1. Now that we are really increasing our Language Arts activities, I'm sure many of you feel like the young man in this photo.

Writing is a real challenge! It takes concentration, and lots of practice.  You must pay close attention to the basic rules and every time you pick up the pen or sit down in front of a keyboard.

Today we are going to use two websites that help us improve our writing skills. First off, let us look at some irregular verbs. These verbs can trip us up and bring some confusion.  Just when we thought that we had memorized the rules for using verbs in the present and past tense, we find that there are exceptions.  Use the following link to read about something we call irregular verbs.

Secondly, we will revisit the theme of adverbs. Remember that adverbs answer the important questions when, where, how many or how often.  I'm sure as you begin to study these words, you will recognize them. Now, you will understand their real meanings and begin to use them in a more accurate way.
