Colorful Day

Coloring and Math

     During recess students took the time to express some colorful art designs. While it started out as simple fun, students quickly began to make connections with math and art lessons.  Many students commented that the colored blocks were similar to the fraction models in a recent game that we played.  

    Another student remembered that the colored blocks and lines were similar to those designs in the Suprematism art paintings that we are studying.
