Ever excited, and always ready to search the Internet, the SASIC 4th graders set out to find more heart healthy recipes and activities.
After discussing the importance of heart health, students identified important steps for keeping the heart healthy. They recommended a diet low in fat, sugar and sodium, plus, balancing calorie intake with regular exercise. Not surprisingly, several students made reference to our promotion and celebration of Food Day back on October 24th. With any luck, seeds of change have been planted and a more health conscious group of youngsters is taking shape.

To be healthy you should eat less red meat,and more chicken,and fish. We all should eat fresh food such as blueberries, strawberries, and bannans. To always be sure to see if it is good or low on sugur check the nutrition bar. You should drink 1% milk or you could drink soy milk. Good intake makes for a good healthy life.
ReplyDeleteModeration would be balance of foods such as some meat\some vegetables and some healthy\some junk. Never over eat because then you get fat. you should eat less junk food, instead you eat fresh food. The moderation is all about good choices.

ReplyDeleteEating healthy can change every thing. Eating healthy can even help you live longer. Cereal can even help your heart. If you're like me you eat a variety of fruits and that's good! So always eat healthy foods.
I like to eat lots of fresh foods. I think all people should choose fresh foods. I like to eat ice cream, but I know I still have to eat healthy. I like green apples, fresh grapes, carrots, and sometimes I'll eat green grapes. I also like to eat things that are low in sugar, low in sodium, low in fat, and low in preservatives. It's really bad for people that eat lots of sugar, sodium, fat, calories, and preservatives.
The types of healthy foods are we should be eating are fish or shrimp. We shoud be geting our calories. Plus, we should be eating cow meat, shrimp, and no red meat it's bad for us thow. Shrimp is my favorite but I can only eat it once a week. Finally, I don't like red meat it tasted nasty to me.
ReplyDeleteThe things I hate the most are lobsters, cat fish, and octipus. Next, I like my calories from oranges and fish also chicken. Also, the things that I like are blueberries, strawberries, fish, and shimp. Finally, the foods I eat I can only eat them once or twice a week.

How I have moderation. I have moderation by eating more carrots and having less fat in diets. Also, I would have salads with no calorie home made ranch. you cant eat simply fruits with vegetables, you also need to at least eat some meats and junk foods to get your protein and fat. Whole wheat cereal is good because it has low fat, with vitamins, plus soy, plus soy milk has low calories. That is how I would eat in moderation.
ReplyDeleteHow I have good intake. I have good intake by having low like strawberries and how they only a small thing of sugar. Another thing is about having good calories like having some fish with shrimp. To get low fat you could have low sodium and fat for sodium you could have home made food also for fat you could buy better types of milk. You can also have low preservatives by eating fresh salads and you can have fresh food by eating blueberries. Also, by eating good protein foods like chicken, shrimp, and low fat cheese you waill have more energy. Thats how I would eating good intakes.
When you eat, make sure you make the right choices. You should eat the more healthy foods. Eat the foods like fruit and veggies. Stuff that is low in sugar and sodiam is good. Make sure you make the right decisions.

Im going to tell you how I eat. If I eat junk food only. I eat a certain amount. For instance I like to eat cookies. Instead of 2 cookies eat 1. Instead of eating no carrots I eat 1 or 2, it helps your vision. You see eating healthy means you will live a better life. So I suggest the whole universe should eat healthy.

Eating healthy is very important. My idea of eating healthy is eating good protein foods, low preservatives, and low fat. For example fruits, veggies, and 1% milk. Remember making good choices in your diet is very important.

A good food example is a salad. Salads have a variety of fresh vegetables. Here are some vegitables in a salad lettuce, cucumber, tomato, cabbage and sometimes cheese. Somtimes you can put fresh meat or tuna on salad.

If I where to eat healthy I would eat chiken and fish once a week. You have to eat less red meat and more salads. The things you should drink is soymilk and water.
